  1. What time does the show start. Not sure if I can enter my Corgi.
    Cell ok to text.

  2. Hi Judy,
    Thanks for writing!

The show starts promptly at 8:00am each day for everything; Conformation, Obedience and Rally. Are you considering showing in Conformaton?

We will not know when each breed is being shown in Conformation until the Judging Program comes out which is after Closing. After Closing the Show Superintendent knows how many of each breed there are going to be and they can make out a schedule. Also, the schedule may or will be different on different days.

Closing for this show (this is when entries close) is 12:00 Noon, Pacific Daylight time on October 18th

The judging Program comes out a few days later (I am not really sure how long it takes for them to post it)

You can access more information on the MBF website

You can look at the RVKC Club page on infodog for the Judging Program

This link is also on the RVKC home page.

I hope this helps. Please don’t hesitate to ask any more questions you may have.

We hope to see you at the show!

  3. Can you please give me an idea how many dogs are entered in your show? i tried to look up past entries, was not successful.
    Thank you

  4. Hi CL Brink,
    Thanks for writing!
There is no ‘past entries’ history because this is the first show that we are doing at Indian Mary Park on this date. We used to have a show at this Park many years ago and it was quite popular. We are excited about returning to the Park for this show and we have received quite a lot of positive feedback so we are expecting a nice entry but there is no counting entries until closing. We hope you will decide t join us for a fun show!

    Thanks, Cherie Ball, RVKC Secretary

  6. Hi Ilona,
Thanks for your question. No, you do not have to have a purebred dog to join and participate in the Club activities! Although we are advocates of purebred dogs, some members have ‘All American’ dogs and participate in a variety of activities that do not require that the dog be a purebred – like AKC Obedience, Rally, Agility, Canine Ambassadors, therapy visits, and others. Conformation is the only event that is for purebreds only. We would love to meet you – come and let’s get to know each other. You are welcome to attend our meetings any time. The next one is this Wednesday, March 11 at 6:00pm at the Fruitdale Grange, 1440 Parkdale Drive, Grants Pass. The program is about preparation for fire season. Tyler Averyt of the Oregon Department of Forestry will present information on preparing for fire season: homes and pets. Should be interesting. You will need two sponsors to sign your application and you can meet people at the meeting who can sponsor you. There is more information on the page at ‘About Us’ – ‘Membership Info & Application.’ Unfortunately, I will not be at the meeting, but I will tell our Membership person, Colleen Douglas, that you might attend so she can look for you. She sits at the door signing people in. Feel free to ask any questions that you may have!
    Thanks again,

  7. I am interested in doing the CGCA and the CGCU was wondering if you offered the tests and when? Thank you …..I can be reached at 541-660-7112

  8. Hi David, Thanks for writing! I will forward your inquiry to our CGC evaluators to see about plans considering the COVID-19 quarantine going on.

  9. Can you please provide the dates beginning in August for CGC classes and ultimate test. I live in Central Oregon and other than PetCo I do not see classes offered. My son lives in Grants Pass and I got my pup from Granite Gables in Grants Pass, and am familiar with the area. There is a Bachelor Kennel Club in Bend but I don’t see any classes or testing.
    Thank you

  10. Hi Anita,
Thanks for writing! Our 3 free CGC classes are scheduled:
    THURSDAYS at 5:30 PM
    August 25th
    September 1st
    September 8th
The OPTIONAL CGC test date is still to be determined
Site for everything: Riverside Park, upper area near the gazebo, 304 E. Park Street, Grants Pass
I will post information about the test date on the front page of our website

I don’t know exactly where you live but I did check and it looks like Linn County Kennel Club in Albany offers CGC classes, also. Their website is for more information.

    I hope this helps!
